Physiotherapy
Every person’s health is marked by different turning points. Sometimes these come as setbacks – an injury, persistent pain or a limitation disrupting daily life. Other times, they appear as opportunities – desire to perform better, move with greater freedom, or feel stronger in your own body. At Calibrate, our role as physiotherapists is to support you during these turning points. We combine our clinical expertise with your goals, unique story and meaningful movements to help you navigate your health journey.

An Integrated, Whole-Body Assessment
Recovery and adaptation require an individualized approach. At Calibrate, we take a whole-body, integrated perspective, that assesses how different regions and systems in your body interact and connect. During your physiotherapy appointments, you can expect a detailed assessment that considers your movement, muscle control, joint mechanics, lifestyle and other factors influencing your health. Our goal is to understand – and help you understand – how your body moves and functions, so we can address the root causes rather than simply treating symptoms in isolation.
Helping You Get Back to What you Love
Our team offers one-on-one, individualized care that integrates manual therapy, exercise prescription, motor control training, clinical pilates, and education. Our aim is to enhance your knowledge and provide you with tools to be able to take an active role in your health and function. We want to help you return to the activities that matter most, feeling confident and resilient.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a doctor’s referral to see a Physiotherapist?
Nope! Physiotherapist’s are primary care providers, which means you can see us directly without a doctor’s referral. Some insurance plans may still require one, so it is a good idea to call your provider to confirm their requirements.
Who can benefit from Physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy can help with all sorts of injuries and movement challenges, like sprained ankles, knee or shoulder injuries, sciatica, repetitive strain injuries, motor vehicle injuries, and post-surgical rehab. We can also help if you are looking to build strength, improve mobility or prevent injury. We treat many more conditions than those listed here – if you’re unsure whether physiotherapy can help with your specific condition, don’t hesitate to reach out to us to find out how we can support you.
How many physiotherapy sessions will I need?
We usually recommend booking 3-4 follow-up appointments after your initial visit, spaced 1-3 weeks apart, so we can get your treatment started without delay. Our schedules do fill up quickly, so booking early helps avoid gaps between appointments. There’s no pressure – appointments can always be changed or cancelled. The exact number of sessions you’ll need depends on your individual history, condition and goals. More complex or long-standing issues may require additional sessions.
Do I need to be injured to see a physiotherapist?
Not at all! Physiotherapists don’t just treat injuries – we can help with improving strength, mobility, posture, balance and overall movement. Whether you want to prevent an injury, recovery from a surgery, manage a chronic condition or enhance your performance, physiotherapy can help.
Can I be assessed virtually?
Yes! Many physiotherapy assessments can be done virtually through secure video appointments. Virtual visits are a convenient way to get guidance, exercise progression and movement assessment at home. Some conditions or treatments may still require an in-person visit, and your physiotherapist will let you know if that is the case. You can always start with a virtual assessment and determine the plan from there.
